But there was a certain man named Ananias who, with his wife, Sapphira, sold some property. He brought part of the money to the apostles, claiming it was the full amount. With his wife’s consent, he kept the rest. Continue reading

Now Showing: The Universe! Created by God – Directed by God
I remember the first time I heard the word “agnostic”. It was a girlfriend’s dad that used it was we sat around the table. I had become a Christian and was sharing my faith.
I remember him saying, “I’m really an agnostic!” I had to ask, “What is that?” Continue reading
What can I do for You?
There are several places in the Bible where the phrase “what do you want me to do” appears. Most of them involve that ability to see.
In Matthew 20:32, Mark 10:51 and Luke 18:41, Jesus asked the question, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The response was “Lord, that our eyes may be opened”, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight”, and “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” Continue reading
Dangerous Ground
I must admit that sometimes I’m a little dense.
I consider myself a strong, resourceful Christian. (Boy, that’s really a humble statement)
I am able to do most of what is expected of me with little effort and this has led to a spiritually dangerous situation. Continue reading
A Year for His Return
It’s 2013 and another year for all Christians to say, “Perhaps this will be the year that Jesus returns!”
That’s an event I’ve been waiting on since 1975, when I accepted Jesus as Messiah Savior.
Though He has not returned in the past 38 years, I do not doubt that it will happen. Continue reading
Written down to warn us.
1 Cor 10:11 These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.
There is no doubt that the end times are here and every day brings you closer to the return of the Messiah Savior.
God does not let you go on without a warning. It is not a new warning but one from days long gone. Continue reading
New for the New Year
The New Year is here!
Gone is any doubt that the world would end on December 21, 2012, according to the Mayan calendar.
So things continue as usual. It seems to me that it continues to get worse and not better. Continue reading
Good as Gold
In the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, there is a point in which Mrs. Cratchit asks Bob how Tiny Tim behaved in church.
“As good as gold,” said Bob, “and better. Somehow he gets thoughtful, sitting by himself so much, and thinks the strangest things you ever heard. He told me, coming home, that he hoped the people saw him in the church, because he was a cripple, and it might be pleasant to them to remember upon Christmas Day, who made lame beggars walk, and blind men see.” Continue reading
What will that child be?
I think it was my 7th grade school teacher that wanted every one of her students to give her a small school picture. Her reasoning was if one of us became an astronaut or president, she’d have a recollection of us and could say, “That was one of my students!”
I only have a vague memory of that year and so I’m not sure what each of those 7th graders have gone on to do. Continue reading
The real Christmas story!
What is traditionally included in the Christmas story?
There’s the trip to Bethlehem, the “No Vacancy” sign at the inn, manger, shepherds and angels, a star, and wisemen.
If you see a Nativity set up that is what you will see. Continue reading
