I don’t read too many religious or spiritual books; even those that claim to be Christian.
I’ll tell you why.
To me God’s word is truth; the whole truth; the entire truth we need to know when it comes to what God wants us to know about a relationship with Him. Continue reading

Planting a seed – Part 4
Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Ps 126:5-6
To wrap this up, let me say that if you are a Christian then you are to be planting a Godly seed of faith into the lives of those that need Jesus as Savior. Continue reading
Plant a seed – Part 3
It’s more important than your personal finances or family prosperity.
What is it?
It’s planting a seed of faith into the life of another person by sharing the Gospel message with them; by living that message before others every day.
Every day you and I are planting some kind of seed in the life of those around us. Continue reading
Planting a seed – Part 2
Last Saturday the mail arrived with 2 envelopes addressed to the church.
In one was a check for $100; the other had six $1 bills and the signatures of 8 people.
I was curious about that until I was told it’s “seed” money – it is sown in faith to produce a hundredfold or a hundred times more based on Mark 4:20 Continue reading
Planting a seed – Part 1
Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4
This verse has taken on new meaning over the past week. Continue reading
Just a little hot!
Wow! It was just a little bit warm in church last night. Today is a week since the A/C’s were vandalized beyond repair.

Swallowing God’s Word
For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. Ex 7:12
These are very deceitful times we live in; but then it has always been that way.
Imagine what people would think to see a man say he speaks for God and is able to perform miracles. Continue reading
“Last Days Survival Manual”
I saw a Facebook post from one of the Christian artists that said, “If God’s plan is for Jesus to come and rescue us and take us out BEFORE the tribulation, why is there so much instruction given to us on how to live DURING the tribulation?” Continue reading
A message of today!
There is a certain race of people scattered through all the provinces of your empire who keep themselves separate from everyone else. Their laws are different from those of any other people, and they refuse to obey the laws of the king. So it is not in the king’s interest to let them live. Est 3:8
Though this was Haman’s decree directed to King Xerxes, it is fitting for today. Continue reading
Thieves!
Thieves have been busy! I’m not necessarily talking about the ones that tore apart the air-conditioning units at Macune Baptist and Crossroads Christian Center Church.
As terrible, offensive, inconvenient, and costly as that is, both of our church’s will replace and try to better secure new units. Continue reading
